A note from the elder sister
You turn nine this coming April
no longer eating crayons or trying out mum's heels
just mediating into the boys-are-silly-they-are-so-messy-but-they're-kinda-cute phase
asks me about boys now,
party invites are piling up,
my kid sister the social butterfly. my dad must be worried.
You can't work the web cam, or type as fast
i see you in my mind anyway,
partly frustrated, as screaming "just you wait," into the small mic behind the pc.
You tells me you're 'sorta smart'
You say mum and dad thinks you're trouble just like me
but a lot nicer.
"You were the guinea pig, after all. It's not your fault."
This coming from the baby of the house.
Big 9, huh?
Welcome to an almost double digit age, mini me ;)
