For my final year for for Undergraduate degree,  I had chosen to rely on my faith to repreresent my thesis. Faith that I thought I could transform into an architectural element, and perhaps share the theory with the rest of my class in Wellington, NZ. I was naive. And perhaps a little too hopeful. Or may just a little too excited about the idea, than the actual work that needed to be put into practice. Or the fact that nobody really knew what I was yapping about. Born and raised in culturally conservative Islamic-Malay background, I often forget how people-especially outsiders, non muslims , would have varied perspectives of what is considered Islamic, and what is not. Its still a sensitive subject for Muslim scholars, and a continuous debate for the non muslim scholars to draw their conclusions. So, yeah. It was stupid. Haha. I am a girl in my own world. Mid Summer Night's meal

SUNDAY, APRIL 6, 2008 Another long day at work was not that much of a surprise when you are just starting to climb the career ladder in the construction business. Even after six years of undergraduate design assignments and training, nothing compares to the stress and chaos of meeting actual deadlines for a building submission. Especially when you have the government, as your client. Time = money. A simple business equation.  Ironically, I felt , in our business, however, that equation was more realistically  " time = money/job hierarchy". Which was also the reason why I was even working on a Sunday, after being politely asked to "help" with the workload of my team.
