For my final year for for Undergraduate degree, I had chosen to rely on my faith to repreresent my thesis. Faith that I thought I could transform into an architectural element, and perhaps share the theory with the rest of my class in Wellington, NZ. I was naive. And perhaps a little too hopeful. Or may just a little too excited about the idea, than the actual work that needed to be put into practice. Or the fact that nobody really knew what I was yapping about. Born and raised in culturally conservative Islamic-Malay background, I often forget how people-especially outsiders, non muslims , would have varied perspectives of what is considered Islamic, and what is not. Its still a sensitive subject for Muslim scholars, and a continuous debate for the non muslim scholars to draw their conclusions. So, yeah. It was stupid. Haha. I am a girl in my own world.
